On October 21, 2009, Aviva announced a donation of $10,000 to George Harvey
Collegiate in Toronto to help build and stock a greenhouse for the school’s Jump Start Breakfast Program. The donation marks the beginning of the Aviva Community Fund; an initiative that has Canadians submitting ideas on how to create positive change locally or nationally. No idea is too big or too small. Whether it is rejuvenating a neighbourhood, improving education, encouraging healthy lifestyles, or preserving the environment, all ideas are welcomed as long as they create positive impact in the community. The rest of Canada can participate by voting for their favourite initiatives at: Avivacommunityfund.org. The most popular ideas will be reviewed by a panel of judges including, former Argo, Mike “Pinball” Clemons. The winning ideas will have their projects funded by Aviva, from a pool of $500,000.   To submit your own idea or vote for your favourite please visit:
